Projector Headlights - Elantra HD

After years on contemplating to install projector headlights on the Elantra, I am glad to say I am finally embarking on this journey. Have been scouting around for a good installer, and found pretty good reviews about this one in particular. CSB Pro located at USJ, does a really good and clean job for projector headlight modifications, and has many many satisfied customers.

Opt for the latest PJ3-H7(socket) projector, which does not require any headlight frame modifications, just merely remove current bulb and replace with the projector bulb and casing.
Although a bit more expensive then regular china made projectors, these Taiwan models are guaranteed to last much longer.

brighten up ya drive :)

Bosch F1-A Spark Plug + Mobil1 5w/50

Its time for another tune up. Decided to change engine oil back to Mobil 1 and replace the ever lasting Bosch F1 spark plugs with new ones. The last change was back in March 2009. When removed they still look like they can last for another 50k.

Trailing Arm Installation & Trye Change

Trailing Arm installation for the rear tyres. The current / stock trailing arm cannot be adjusted, hence making it difficult when it comes to doing tyre alignment. Got this trailing arm from Singapore, sometimes last year and decided to get em change, together with the tyres.

For the tyres, was kinda deciding if i should upgrade to a larger 17" RIMS instead of the current 16". Went around looking for something which I would like, but wasn't quite satisfied with what is available, hence decided to change the tyres instead. The stock tyres were going on NCT5 - 205/55/R16, which proves to be pretty noisy and hard.

Was looking for something which was a bit more quieter and smoother (comfy). Did some search on the net for user recommendations, and it seem the Michelin Primacy LC had pretty good ratings. I was deciding between the Continental Contact Premium 2 and Michelin Primacy LC,  at the end decided to go with Primacy LC, since the Tyre shop i was going too didn't have the Continental Tyres available. A quick check at few other tyre shops seems to draw the same result about the availability of the Continental CP2.

I must agree with all the reviews out there, the Michelin Primacy LC is indeed a pretty quite / comfy tyres to be on. I hope they last a good couple of years. So far no issues on braking or driving on wet conditions.
